Official Aero Blackout Trailer

Once again it is my duty to inform you for the (insert exagerrated nuber here)th time that 'back in the day' I was a graphic designer. I worked four years for a company and then tried my hand at freelancing, which would incorporate my music AND graphic design.

It worked well for a season and because of it, I can now display some of these creations here as acheivements.

In this particular case, I used my very own services to create a "trailer" for my business at the time, Aero Blackout. It showed that I could do a wide range of musical styles as well as graphic design styles - most notably 3D animation - which is still of great interest to me.

I never bought Toy Story 3 for my kids - I bought it for myself. Mwahahahaha!

Reconciliation Sax

I promise you I never had a clue!!

Yes, it is well known that I love good word-play and puns are kind of like a speciality of mine, but this one was completely a revelation to me...

It was a few years ago when I was tinkling around in some Mike Hammer-esque elements and I came up with this quick little tune. I had a few failed attempts at doing it justice that I titled this one reconciliation sax, because this particular saxophone reconciled what the others had failed to do.

Now I promise you again that this was no pun on 'Make up sex' - honestly! I would love to take credit for it, but since it was accidental, I cannot.

Upon nearing completion, I tried adding drums, a brass section and even some weird synthy elements - but nothing else was really needed. I took all those things out and left it as just the piano and the saxophone.

Joe Soap

I'm quite a fan of Thomas Newman's percussive and rhythmic style, which is what inspired this piece. It was used for a short video clip called the Joe Soap series.

Harrison & Jones Theme

Every once in a while a little fun is afforded when a talented friend offers a collaboration. In this case Mark Vincer, famous for his web-comic, 'MehPOW' had several other creative ideas running in the background. One of them being something that actually predates MehPOW - a hilarious crime-fighting duo named Harrison and Jones.

It's still pending (as these sort of things do take time) but in the meantime, you can enjoy the theme tune I composed.

Grey's Anatomy Piece

In 2011, along with several other musicians worldwide, I was offered the chance to compose music for the finalé of the famous series, Grey's Anatomy.

It was actually quite an old piece I had composed four years prior for the sake of hobby, which I 'got off the shelf', reworked it, gave it a good polish and submitted it. It never got selected, but perhaps one day it could be used for something else.
